Zombies chase 5K runners along Fort Gordon trail

Fort Gordon, GA (WFXG) -

Being chased by zombies down a forestry trial, is not part of your average 5K fundraiser. But at Fort Gordon, that's what the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) organization is doing as a pre-Halloween event.

Saturday afternoon, dozens of runners and face-painted zombies participated in the annual 5K Zombie Run. The run raised money for BOSS. The organization assists single soldiers in planning activities on post.

The Zombie Run raised more than $7,000; all proceeds going to BOSS.
