AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Richmond County deputies have made an arrest in the case of an early morning shooting.

Ronnie Lee Berrian has been booked into the Richmond County Jail for Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

Original Story:

A man is dead following a morning shooting on Camille Street.

Deputies were called out to the 1100 block just before 9am Wednesday. When they arrived on scene they found Russell Boyd, 66 years old, shot at least once.

Investigators say Ronnie Lee Berrian shot Boyd after the two were arguing at Berrian's house.

Richmond County investigators say Berrian is armed and dangerous.

He is wanted for murder and possession of a firearm during a crime. Investigators say Berrian has ties to the East Augusta area and fled the scene in a gray 1992 Cadillac Deville.

Boyd was shot at least one time in the torso and died at the scene.

The body will be sent to the GBI Lab in Augusta on Thursday for an autopsy.
