PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police had one of two suspects in custody after a Circle K store was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning.

Two men with guns went into the store at 23rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road, bound the clerk and robbed the store of money, cigarettes and other items, according to Sgt. Steve Martos with the Phoenix Police Department.

The clerk was able to maneuver himself into a position where he was able to call 911. A Phoenix officer saw a white Toyota Forerunner matching a description of the suspect's vehicle speeding from the area of the robbery.

The Forerunner entered a neighborhood at Orangewood and 21st Avenue before the suspects tried  to flee on foot.

One man was arrested after he was found in an apartment and the search was continuing for the second suspect. Martos said police had a "good idea" of who the second suspect is. He said the suspect was a white man dressed in black clothing.

No one was hurt, Martos said.
