AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A lot  of Augustans had a great time at the Common during Border Bash Friday night. Sunday afternoon, there was more fun to be had.

Hundreds came out downtown Sunday afternoon for the 2012 Children's Week Family Festival and Education Fair.

The week-long celebration kicked off Friday night and is put on by the Augusta Partnership for Children.

Sunday, kids bounced, slid, and played on inflatables while parents were able to meet with agencies and non-profits to learn what all is out there to help them.

The Partnership says it's important parents know all the resources available to them.

"If we can bring people together, to let the parents, the kids know that there are many resources in this community and that we work together," Partnership Executive Director Robetta McKenzie. "When you work together, you can better serve your kids."

The week isn't over either. Starting this Tuesday through Thursday, the Partnership hosts Children's Story Time at the Augusta Public Library from 9:30-11:30 a.m. On Wednesday, Oct. 10, local lawmakers meet for a legislative breakfast at The Legends Club from 7:30-9 a.m. The week concludes with the Students Who Care Luncheon Monday, Oct. 15, at the Augusta Rotary Club from noon-1 p.m.
