Graniteville, SC (WFXG) - Just after midnight two men came
to this house on Graniteville's Gregg Street.
The homeowner may have left her keys in the back door, so the burglars
walked right in, and found 80-year- old Elizabeth Shaw in her bedroom. They demanded her money, but she fought to
keep her purse.
"One of the suspects had
grabbed her by the wrists. So she had some bruising from that," said SSgt. Jason Feemster of the Aiken County Sheriff's Department. "She declined any
medical attention at that time, but she was definitely shaken up by the
incident."
Shaken up, but more angry. The robbers took her money and her
cell phone. She's thankful she's okay,
and hopes the police catch the robbers.
"We
know that people talk," SSgt. Feemster said. "And we're hoping that somewhere someone is going to talk
about what happened. Somebody knows who these people are. And we're just hoping
that through tips and information that somehow this information will come to
us."
