Paine College student arrested for having weapon on property

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A Paine College student is in Richmond County Jail after he was found to have a weapon on school property.

Tobias Veal was arrested Saturday following an argument with his girlfriend. Campus security responded to the incident, where Veal willingly gave up a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol.

Paine College is not commenting on the incident.
