One man dead following crash in Burke County

BURKE COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

A Georgia man is dead following a one-vehicle crash this morning just south of Waynesboro.

Clinton Wayne Harper of Reidsville, Georgia lost control while driving his 2005 Chevy Tahoe northbound on US Highway 25 around 8:05am.

He drove over the median, then over-corrected and overturned the vehicle. He was ejected from the vehicle, which then landed on him. Investigators suspect he may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
