WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Authorities are asking for the help of the public in locating an elderly East Texas man.

The Wood County Sheriff's Office says 78-year-old Gerald Randall Crowell, of Quitman, was last seen wearing a blue, white and yellow striped button up with short sleeves, with white pants, a black belt and black shoes.

He is driving a 2005 Toyota Tundra, champagne colored, with a diamond plate toolbox.

The missing man's daughter described her father as a "hoarder" and says his vehicle is filled with items that makes it appear that he is moving.

The daughter also reported to the Wood County Sheriff's Office that her father has early dementia, heart problems and rheumatoid arthritis that has caused some crippling.

Officials say Gerald's daughter allowed him to drive to Famersville, but he never arrived. Authorities added that Gerald had an appointment at the Dallas Veteran's Administration hospital on Tuesday.
