Salvation Army extends deadline for Christmas assistance

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Salvation Army of Greater Augusta's Christmas Assistance Program helps provide Christmas gifts for children ages 12 and under.  

This year, applications for Christmas assistance have been extended from October 29 through November 2.

you can submit an application at the First Stop Center from 9am-11:30am and 1pm-3:30pm.

Assistance will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The staff asks that applicants do not bring children.


Applicants are asked to provide the following documents.
-      Photo ID for all adults in household
-      Birth Certificates for all children in household
-      Social security cards for everyone in household
-      Proof of income (including food stamps)
-      Proof of expenses (bills you pay)
-      Proof of current address
-      Legal custody papers for children who are not your birth children
