LORAIN, OH (WOIO) -
A dog in Lorain shot in the leg and dumped at the pound with her litter of pups.
Officials say a woman brought the mama dog and her nine puppies to the Fayette County Shelter and said the dog had been hit by a car. Workers soon discovered the dog had actually been shot.
The injured dog was taken to the Lorain Animal Clinic for treatment. The dog's leg was seriously injured in the shooting.
A Humane Officer in now investigating.
