Kroc Center now offers 'Silver Sneakers' and 'Prime Fitness' programs

The Salvation Army Kroc Center of Augusta has announced that it is now a certified facility for both the Silver Sneakers and PRIME fitness programs.

The Silver Sneakers program supports Medicare beneficiaries and group retirees. The program, offered by a variety of insurers and health plans, provides full member access to the Kroc Center. This includes amenities such as the Aquatics Center with lap lanes, group fitness classes with certified instructors, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

The Salvation Army Kroc Center will offer special Silver Sneakers classes for enrolled seniors which will target areas such as balance, strength, and flexibility.

In addition, Silver Sneakers participants can attend health education seminars that provide useful information on securing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The Prime fitness program works in a similar fashion, offering full member benefits to employees of businesses offering the program.

An Open House will be held on August 14 from 10:00am – 2:00pm for anyone who is interested in Silver Sneakers or the PRIME program.
