Offender indicted in police chase case

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The offender in a police chase last month has been indicted.

Benjamin Hixon, 21, was stopped last month for a seatbelt violation when he led deputies on a high-speed chase for 15 minutes.

The chase eventually ended, where Hixon then was arrested following a short struggle with police.

He's indicted on charges including fleeing a law enforcement officer, DUI, reckless driving, and other charges regarding this chase.
