Two arrested in Washington County on drug charges

Two people are behind bars after a drug bust in Washington County, Georgia.

Sherman Lawrence, 32, of Warthen and Zinta Neal, 30, of Wrens were arrested on July 10 after investigators from several agencies reported to a home on Mt. Zion Road in Warthen.   

Officers found 27 grams of Crack Cocaine with a street value of $2700.00, along with Marijuana,  cash, digital scales and a hookah pipe once inside the residence.

Both are charged with Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act, possession of Crack Cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of Marijuana.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, State Probation Office and the Tennille Police Department all assisted with the arrests.
