Fire erupts in Columbia County after lightning strike

Columbia County, GA (WFXG) -

Lightning ignited a small fire Tuesday evening in Columbia County.

The fire happened on Ridge Road just off of Washington Road. Lightning struck a tree behind a home and storage facility.

That facility houses campers containing propane tanks.

Crews were able to get that fire under control. No one was hurt.
