Columbia County, GA (WFXG) -
Day 3 of the murder trial of Thomas Bradford is underway in Columbia County.
Bradford is accused of the murder of Raymond Lee back in April 2011. Bradford claims the shooting happened in self-defense after he and Lee got into a fight over a tractor-trailer that may have been overfilled with sludge. But, the Assistant District Attorney Geoffrey Fogus disagrees, telling the jury Bradford was angry after a dispute and that was when the shots were fired.
"That man right there, Thomas Eugene Bradford, Jr., was a hothead," Fogus says as he points to the defendant. "He took Raymond Lee's life."
Jake Wallace is in the courtroom and is blogging live.
9:26am - No jury in the courtroom yet. The defense calls a special witness, a professor from James Madison University. He testifies that he is an expert in sensation perception and sight perception. 12:40pm - Voss steps down from the stand. The next witness called by the prosecution in former GBI medical examiner, Eric Eason.
12:51pm - Eason says autopsy found a bullet in Lee's torso and abrasions on his torso. He also testifies the gunshot wound was from a shot at least 3 feet away.
12:54pm - Lee's family is very emotional as autopsy photos are shown in court.
1:02pm - The autopsy photos show several abrasions on Lee's face and torso. Eason says he couldn't determine when Lee received the abrasions. Eason says the bullet went through Lee's rib cage, pulmonary artery, heart and lung. Lee lost more than 2 liters of blood and died from blood loss.
1:17pm - Eason steps away from the stand. Court will break for lunch until 2:45pm.

We've gotten into it several times before, but never like this". Bradford says he pulled the gun hoping Lee would stop hitting him. He says, "I wish it wouldn't have happened like this". Bradford's reaction in the tape when he found out Lee was dead: "S**t. I definitely didn't want that to happen."
4:15pm - The state rests their case. Court is in recess until 9am Thursday morning, when the defense will begin.
