Local organization needs help to bring Vietnam Wall replica to Fort Gordon

Posted: Updated:
AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Order of the Cross Motorcycle Ministries is trying to raise money to transport a reproduction of the Vietnam Wall from California to Augusta.

It will cost $16,000 to bring the replica to Fort Gordon.

"Approximately 63,000 Vietnam era veterans live within 150 miles of Augusta. A lot of them cannot go to D.C. to go to the wall and get the healing that the wall provides - we're bringing that healing here to Augusta."

Knox tells Fox54 they still need $9,000 to bring the wall to Fort Gordon.

If you're interested in learning how you can help, call Knox at (706) 399-1347.
