BEVERLY HILLS, CA (RNN) - Fans looking for answers to how pop superstar Whitney Houston died Saturday afternoon in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel will have to wait for results from a toxicology report, according to TMZ.

Houston's autopsy will be conducted Sunday by the L.A. County Coroner's Office.

Emergency personnel were called at 3:43 p.m. Saturday by a member of Houston's entourage. Despite attempts at resuscitation, the pop idol was declared dead at the scene at 3:55 p.m., according to Lt. Mark Rosen of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

"There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent at this time," Rosen told reporters outside of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Houston's body was transferred to the L.A. County Coroner's Office early Sunday morning, more than eight hours after she was pronounced dead.

Ed Winter, spokesperson for the coroner's office, confirmed to reporters that "it didn't appear that there was foul play," according to CNN.

Early Sunday morning, the Houston family was still coming to terms with the idol's death. Her daughter with R&B singer Bobby Brown, 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown, was rushed to the hospital for anxiety, according to a press release sent to ABC News.

The Hollywood gossip blog TMZ reported early Sunday morning that members of Houston's entourage found her underwater in the tub of her fourth floor room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Her entourage reportedly went to check on her after she had spent more than an hour in the bathtub to find her submerged "like she had slid down the back of the tub."

Bobbi Kristina reportedly got into a shouting match with authorities at the scene after they refused to let her see her mother.

The Beverly Hills Police Department would not confirm whether or not there were drugs at the scene, although TMZ has reported that more than half a dozen pill bottles were found in her room, citing "law enforcement sources." No illicit drugs were reportedly found.

The singer was at the hotel to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party thrown by her mentor Clive Davis. Her death threw a somber veil over the celebrations.

"I've known her from a little girl up," legendary soul singer Gladys Knight told CNN reporters as she entered the Clive Davis event Saturday. "I'm venturing out to say this and maybe get some flak, but there will never be another voice like that."

Music executive L.A. Reid, who produced a number of Houston's records, told CNN reporters that Houston was "like a sister" to him.

"It hurts, really hurts and I've shed a lot of tears over this," he said.

Sony Music Entertainment also released a statement on Houston's website, calling her "an icon and a once-in-a-lifetime talent who inspired a generation of singers and brought joy to millions of fans around the world."

Television networks VH1 and BET have announced that they will have special programming to commemorate the legendary songstress.
