Richmond County deputies were called to Greene Street around 4pm Wednesday after reports of a shooting.

When they arrived on the scene they found Jermaine Little injured. Investigators are not sure if the victim was shot or hit with a baseball bat.

Little was transported to GHSU for his injuries and is currently still unresponsive and in critical condition. The extent and cause of Little's injuries are still unknown at this time and the investigation is still in its beginning stages. 

The Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance from the community and asking that anyone with any information contact the Sheriff's office at 706-821-1080.
