AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Augusta Fire Department has a new station that is up and ready to get to work.

An open house was held Tuesday morning after the completion of Engine Company #10. The new station is located at 1056 Alexander Drive, Augusta, GA 30909.

The opening comes just one day after Augusta Commissioners approved the appointment of Interim Fire chief Chris James to Fire Chief.
