Road closure planned for Monday

Posted: Updated:
Columbia County, GA (WFXG) -

Columbia County wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary road closure for all thru traffic on Old Wheeler Road.  The temporary road closure will prevent any thru traffic from using Old Wheeler Road between SR 383 (Jimmie Dyess Parkway) and Wrightsboro Road.  The road closure will begin at 9:00 a.m., Monday, January 30th, 2012 and will remain closed to thru traffic until 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 3rd, 2012.

During the week long closure, residents of Valley Brook Subdivision will need to use Old Wheeler Road, from Wrightsboro Road, as their means of access.  Residents on Old Wheeler Court will need to use Park West Drive as their means of access.

The temporary road closure is to allow for the replacement/repair of storm water infrastructure across Old Wheeler Rd and adjacent to Old Wheeler Rd.

Please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting on these days.
