Suspects arrested in January murder

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro Police said a citizen's tip led to the arrest of an accused killer, and another man suspected in the crime has surrendered to police.

Police report that Victor Davon Johnson, 22, was arrested after a grand jury indictment charge of first degree murder in the January death of Jeremy Green.

And Maurice Hegman, 23, turned himself into authorities Thursday. Hegman is charged with felony theft for allegedly stealing Green's property after he was killed.

Jose Lemanuel Hall, 20, has also been charged with first degree murder in connection with the case. Hall has been jailed since April after he was charged with killing Kendrya Davis, his ex-girlfriend.

Green, 21, was found dead on Jan. 29 inside his Murfreesboro Pike apartment. Detectives believe the defendants killed him so they could steal his electronic equipment.
