Nashville Teen Charged In Ex-Girlfriend's Death 4-13-2011

A man has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of his ex-girlfriend.
Detectives said 19-year-old Jose Lemanuel Hall admitted to witnesses that he killed 18-year-old Kendrya Davis. They said Hall had a small-caliber revolver before and after Davis disappeared and that he made incriminating statements about where Davis' body was found and the destruction and concealment of evidence in the case.
Davis' mother reported her missing March 30 after having last seen her two days before. Davis was found with multiple gunshot wounds, stab wounds and blunt-force trauma inside a vacant home on Cass Street. The home is within eyesight of Hall's current girlfriend's home, police said.
Davis and Hall fought near the downtown Nashville Metro Transit Authority bus station on the day she disappeared, Metro police said. Her family said she returned home with a black eye but left that evening to meet Hall again.
Hall has been in jail since April 3, when he surrendered to police on charges of failure to appear in court on a trespassing charge.
