2 Arrested In Slaying Of Man Shot In Car 1-28-2011

There are new details in the slaying of a man found shot to death in his car.
The body of Israel Rivera was found inside a Mustang near the Clarksville city limits in September. For months, investigators examined the vehicle and surveillance video.
On Friday, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office made two arrests. Corey Lanes has been charged with criminal homicide, and Levern McQueen has been charged with conspiracy.
"Well, it was definitely a whodunit," said Chaplain Ted Denny of the Sheriff's Department. "There weren't any witnesses, and it basically gets back to the forensics. We just have an outstanding investigative unit. They spent a great deal of time inside that car."
Both Lanes and McQueen are being held without bond with a hearing expected to be held Feb. 9.
