MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The story of a Memphis pizza delivery driver who saved the life of an elderly woman who fell in her house is receiving national attention.  Wednesday, the driver, Susan Guy, appeared on NBC's Today Show to talk about her miraculous story.

Just 48 hours earlier, paramedics rescued Jean Wilson, 82, from her home in Memphis, after they were tipped by Guy that something might have been wrong with the elderly woman.

"She treats us really well," Guy said, "She appreciates us."

In fact, according to Guy, Wilson has ordered pizza from the Dominos she delivers for nearly every day for the past three years.  After learning that hadn't heard from Wilson in three days, Guy became concerned and went to check on her.

When no one answered a door, and Guy realized neighbors had not seen Wilson leave the home, Guy called 911.

On the Today Show, Guy offered insight into the origin of her alarm.

"My mother had cancer," Guy said. "And twice she fell down when she lived with me. I'd come home and she'd been on the floor, like, three hours."

Guy's story quickly went national.  Tuesday, her story was featured on, the Drudge Report, Gawker and other websites. Inside Edition visited Memphis to cover the story Wednesday, and the BBC was hoping to interview her, too.

But Guy, who was in New York to be on the Today Show, remained humble.

"I'm just a delivery driver," she said.

Guy has worked for Dominos for about six months, and is in the process of earning her Master's degree.

Wednesday, Wilson remained hospitalized.
