From 2011 to 2015, South Carolina saw an average of almost four fatal or serious crashes each day on rural roads.
It's part of the reason South Carolina -D-O-T pushed so hard to increase the gas tax to get more funding.
Now, the department plans to put some of that new money to work. They want to make some dangerous rural roads - safer. Chad Mills with a look at the roads D-O-T is targeting first.
