    The Senate passed bi-partisan legislation to curb the opioid epidemic. The plan requires special packaging for prescription opioids and pushes for more development of non-addictive painkillers. It will also force the post office to crack down on drug shipments.

    Doctor Hospital will hold a ribbon cutting for their Emergency Department expansion on Tuesday, September 18. The event will also have health screenings and a teddy bear clinic in the new Pediatric ER. Doctors Hospital says the new ER is a larger, more efficient space with more treatment rooms.
