    A crash on the bypass in Burke County Monday morning will cause a power outage for an area of the county. The crash happened on the bypass near Burke County High School. The crash took out a power pole. Georgia Power will be shutting down electricity in the area in order to repair the pole.

The incident happened Friday night around midnight on Saint Sebastian Way at Walton Way near downtown Augusta. Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says the seventy-eight-year-old man was taken to Augusta University Medical Center, where died just before 9 a.m. the next morning.
