  • Jan started her career in broadcast news while going to college at the University of Maine in Orono.
  • Lauren Powell grew up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina in the small town of Hemingway between Myrtle Beach and Charleston. She was in the first ever graduating class of Carvers Bay High School.
  • I never thought I'd ever have a job where I'd have my own body armor, and have to take it with me on about half my travels! And won an Emmy Award doing it! But it's sure worked out well, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
  • I was raised in Bloomington, IL and graduated from Central Catholic High School. I spent 4 wonderful years at the University of Missouri. I graduated from the Honors College and the School of Journalism. Go Tigers!
  • "Yes, WETHERBEE is my real last name," says "Big" John Wetherbee. "And I have always been a ‘weather geek', chasing storms while trying to serve others with life-saving information on TV and the radio."
  • Ron grew up in the city of Savannah and attended public schools here. He graduated from Groves High School in 1967. He enrolled at Savannah State College in the Summer of 1967 in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Technology.
  • Jake Wallace was born and raised in Leesburg, GA. He attended Georgia Southern University and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Multimedia Communications.
  • I was born and raised in a beautiful Rocky Mountain city, Colorado Springs.

    I was fortunate to graduate from high-school two years early. As a sixteen-year-old, I followed my love of journalism from my home in Kansas to Greenville, South Carolina to study at Bob Jones University.
  • Rachel Moore joined the Fox54 news team as a Multi-Media Journalist in September 2011. She's originally from Los Angeles, and attended Florida A&M University and the University of Connecticut.
  • Teri Hornstein joins the WFXG News Team as a Multi-Media Journalist from Miami, Florida. Before arriving in Augusta, she worked at WFOR CBS4, as an Associate Producer. During her time there, she covered breaking news stories from behind the scenes for multiple daily newscasts.
  • As a kid, Brian always carried around a radio and a camera. He played DJ (Disc Jockey) for his friends when they had backyard parties and videotaped some birthday parties. Finally, he chose a school to help further his skills.
  • Melanie joined the WFXG News team in September of 2011 as a news Anchor. She's also currently the Anchor of The News On Saturday and Sunday Evenings. She is also a general assignment and medical reporter for the evening news, and fill-in Weather Forecaster for the morning and weekend news shows. Melanie also produces the Sunday evening shows.
  • Jamie's been playing in the rain since she could walk.  Though it's not encouraged during a rain storm, not even her grandmother could stop her from running outside, looking up, and standing in awe as thunder and lightning would crash all around.
