Calmer (and hotter) weather through Thursday as quieter weather pattern is settling in for the next few days.
The steering winds have switched around out of the west and southwest, and that has brought in drier, more stable air.
Fewer storms will also allow us to warm up this week. Not to "extreme" levels, but getting pretty close!
After a record-warm morning low of just 92° Tuesday, Phoenix topped out at 110° in the mid-afternoon hours.
Highs will likely hit, and even top, 110° again Wednesday and Thursday.
A pattern more favorable for storms in the Valley appears to be re-establishing itself for the weekend.
