Mikaela is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ) After a few years in the Atlanta area, Mikaela made her way back to the CSRA, a place which she considers home. Today and everyday, she strives to live by the great words of political activist, Cornel West , "You've got to be a thermostat, rather than a thermometer. A thermostat shapes the climate of opinion, a thermometer just reflects it." In her free time, Mikaela enjoys sports, spending time with her nephew Max, and spending time with her dog, Lyric. Mikaela loves creating content and the art of story-telling. She looks forward to hearing your stories and bringing forth news that matters to you.
