GRANITEVILLE, SC (WFXG) - First Alert meteorologist Pierce Legeion was back out on the road Monday morning in Graniteville for another Weather on the Road.
Graniteville dates back to 1845 when William Gregg built the South’s first large-scale cotton mill in what became known as Graniteville. The community got its name because most of those original buildings were constructed of blue granite. The Graniteville Historic District, which includes what is left of the mill, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
MONDAY FORECAST: Sunny and feeling like fall. HIGH: 72.
