AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - District 10 Commissioner Grady Smith’s death was announced during the presentation for next year’s proposed budget by the City Administrator. Mayor Hardie Davis adjourned the meeting but the Administrator say’s she was able to get through most of her presentation. The big difference between this year’s budget and last year’s, she says more room for the city to invest in outdoor activities.
“Because of that growth & revenue it free’s you up to do different and better things. I’m excited about being able to deliver some of the things that our public has been asking for,” says Janice Allen Jackson.
Commissioners didn’t get a chance to ask questions because the meeting was adjourned. Budget talks will take place again next week
