AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Starting Monday, Augusta Regional Airport workers will be enforcing its curb side policy.

That means leaving your car unattended can lead to parking tickets or getting your car towed. The Airport says it’s been lenient on this policy for several years. However, due to the growth and safety concerns, management says this has to be implemented. You can only be curbside if you’re dropping off or picking up travelers. There are several options in place to avoid those fines.

“We ask If you do have to stay here for a period of time that you park in our short term parking lot, the first 30 minutes is free. We have also established a cell phone lot which is right close to the curb as well. You can also circle the perimeter, whichever you choose,” says Lauren Smith.

This enforcement is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week even if there are no cars on the curb.
